ROJECT BACKGROUND:
Baruun-Urt Heating plant with capacity of 13 Gcal/h was built by KDHEC, Daesung Global Network and Dohwa Engineering Co.,Ltd in 2013 with financial aid from KOICA. After post implementation investigation by KDHEC and KOICA, KOICA decided to improve ash handling system, firefighting system, and plant safety of the heating plant by installing fly ash handling system, installation heat tracing cable in firefighting water pipeline, improve electric hoist operating condition and additional platforms and handrails.
PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT:
The purpose of the project is to install fly ash handling system for 2 heating boiler and other safety measurements including safety handrail, insulation and heat tracing of firefighting water pipeline, installation of firefighting equipment in order to improve operating safety and safe operation of the heating plant.
SCOPE OF SERVICE:
The scope of project included engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of fly ash hanging system including ash silo. In order to improve plant operating safety, firefighting water pipeline insulation and installation of heat tracing cable, installation of firefighting equipment and installation of additional safety handrail and platform have been implemented within the project scope.
Considering the client’s requirement, vertical side wall conveyor selected as a main conveyor and screw conveyor for ash delivery from each multicyclone bottom hopper to main conveyor. 50m3 ash silo is designed to keep ash from 2 boiler for up to 3 days equipped with standard ash silo auxiliary equipment including bag filter, vibrators, unloader, and manual and electric valves.
